Church Scandal Erupts

The storm finally broke on a Tuesday night.

It started with leaked chats.

Someone — nobody knew who — dropped a bombshell into the bigger Lagos pastors’ and church workers’ WhatsApp groups. Screenshots. Voice notes. Even a short video of Sister Divine laughing and calling one married man “my spiritual husband” in a flirty voice.

The chats between her and Obi were there too.

Sister Divine:
My king, when you release from that woman completely, your star will shine. I see you becoming very great. But first, we must finish the separation spiritually… and physically 😊

Obi:
I’m trying. She is stubborn. But I’m ready to follow God’s will.

The entire Lagos Christian WhatsApp ecosystem went wild. Some defended her. Others called her Jezebel. A few big pastors even shared the messages with warnings: “Be careful of wolves in sheep clothing.”

Ezi was at home when the calls started pouring in. Family. Friends. Even her colleagues.

Her mother was screaming on the phone: “Ezi, have you seen what is happening? Your husband’s name is everywhere! Go and beg! Go and fight for your home before it is too late!”

But Ezi was tired of begging.

Then the real twist came.

An unknown number called her. A woman’s voice, calm but urgent.

“Sister Ezinne? My name is Ifeoma. I was once married too. Sister Divine destroyed my home last year with the same ‘second wife prophecy.’ I have evidence — bank statements, videos, everything. Meet me at Café Royale in Ikeja tomorrow. Please come alone.”

Ezi went.

Ifeoma was a quiet, well-dressed woman in her thirties. She showed Ezi everything. Chat after chat. Transfers from different men. Even videos of Sister Divine in compromising positions with other “clients.”

“This woman is running a business,” Ifeoma said bitterly. “She targets weak, ambitious men. Especially those with childless or working wives. She uses prophecy as weapon. I lost everything — my home, my dignity. Don’t make my mistake. Fight her with sense, not emotion.”

Ezi left the café with a heavy heart but a clearer head. She now had ammunition.

When she got home, her phone rang again. This time it was Chisom, her sister, sounding panicked.

“Mama has been rushed to the hospital. She collapsed after hearing all the church gist. She kept saying it’s because of your stubbornness. That you refused to fight spiritually… Ezi, please come.”

Ezi rushed to the hospital, heart in her throat.

Mama Nneka was lying on the bed, looking frail with oxygen tube in her nose. When she saw Ezi, she started crying.

“My daughter… please… don’t let that woman win. Don’t let our family scatter. If I die now, it will be because of you.”

Ezi held her mother’s hand, tears dropping.

On one side — her sick mother, her leaking marriage, the church scandal.

On the other — the secret pregnancy, Tosin’s offer, and the evidence against Sister Divine.

She was standing in the middle of two fires.

And she had to choose which one to walk through.
