The Second Wife Prophecy
The drama refused to stay quiet.
By Friday evening, the entire Victory Zone parish was buzzing like a disturbed beehive. Someone had recorded the “private deliverance” moment and it was now circulating in smaller WhatsApp groups. Not the full video — just enough to show Obi on his knees, shirt open, Sister Divine’s hands all over him.
Ezi stayed home that Sunday.
She couldn’t face the stares. But the church came to her through her phone.
The main group was exploding again.
Aunty Peace:
Brethren, today’s service was powerful! Prophetess Divine dropped another bomb 🔥 The Lord said a man in our midst will marry a “vessel of honour” as second wife because the first one is blocking his glory. Who understands this one?
Deacon Titus:
Na serious matter o. Sometimes God can rewrite destiny. King David had many wives. Abraham too.
Sis. Ronke:
Some women should know when to release their husbands for greater glory. Pride is a terrible spirit.
Ezi read the messages with tears in her eyes. They weren’t even hiding it anymore. The prophecy was clearly about Obi. And Sister Divine was the obvious “vessel of honour.”
Her mother called immediately after service.
“Ezi, did you hear what Prophetess said? You need to go and beg that woman. Carry fruits. Carry money. Tell her you are ready to submit. Don’t let another woman take your place!”
“Mama, you want me to beg the woman sleeping with my husband?”
“Watch your mouth! It is spiritual. Stop seeing with carnal eyes!”
Ezi hung up.
She sat on the floor of her bedroom, Bible open but unread. For the first time, she asked herself the dangerous question:
What if God is actually on their side?
What if she was truly the problem? Too career-driven. Too proud. Too “modern.” Maybe God really wanted to take Obi to another level and she was the weight holding him down.
The thought made her feel sick.
Obi came back from church looking brighter than he had in weeks. He was even humming.
“Service was awesome today,” he said, loosening his senator. “The prophecy was strong. Many people received it.”
Ezi watched him from the couch. “Including you?”
He paused. “Ezi, we need to talk like adults. Things are happening spiritually. Maybe… maybe we need to consider separation for a while so I can fully receive my blessing.”
The words landed like a slap.
“Separation?” Her voice was shaking. “You want to marry her, abi? That is what the prophecy is saying, right? Second wife?”
Obi sighed like she was a troublesome child. “It’s not about marriage yet. It’s about alignment. Sister Divine is just a vessel.”
At that moment, Ezi’s phone vibrated. A message from an unknown number.
It was a series of screenshots.
Different women. Different chats. All sent to Sister Divine.
One woman wrote: Prophetess, my husband has refused to do the needful. You said if I sow ₦300k seed he will marry me as second wife. It has been 8 months.
Another: Mama, you prophesied that my own husband will leave his wife for me. But he is still with her. What is happening?
There were more. At least six different married men Sister Divine had given similar “second wife” or “breakthrough marriage” prophecies to. All of them paying heavily for “special prayers.”
The last message from the unknown sender:
She has done this to many families. Be careful, Sis. Ezi. I was once like you.
Ezi forwarded everything to Obi without saying a word.
He read in silence. For the first time, something like doubt crossed his face. Then it hardened again.
“This is the work of the enemy. They want to discredit the prophetess. Don’t let it enter your heart.”
But Ezi saw the small flicker.
She stood up slowly.
“Obinna, if you bring that woman into this house… I will burn everything we have built together.”
The air in the room became thick.
Obi looked at her like he was seeing a stranger.
To be continued…
